Francesco del Cossa represents an crucial moment of the Renaissance in Ferrara. Together with Ercole de’ Roberti he was the creator of the frescos in the Salone dei Mesi at Palazzo Schifanoia, one of the most mysterious and evocative of Ferrara’s places.
